Terms & Privacy
A short version of how this service works and what it can and cannot see
Zero-knowledge data
Vault content, personal notes, passwords, chat message bodies, one-time notes, encrypted files, filenames, file types, and voice media keys are encrypted in your browser before they reach the server
We do not have the keys required to read that content. If you lose your master password or recovery phrase, we cannot restore the decrypted data for you
Operational metadata
The service may process metadata needed to run the product: encrypted storage profile ids, encrypted blob sizes, timestamps, server-side version numbers, room ids, message ids, invite ids, IP-based rate-limit counters, technical logs, and push subscription endpoints if you enable push notifications
One-time file sharing stores encrypted file payloads and encrypted file metadata until download, burn, or expiry. The default TTL is 24 hours
Your responsibilities
- Keep your master password and recovery phrase private
- Share one-time links only with the intended recipient
- Use the service only where you have the right to share the content
- Understand that expired, deleted, or burned data cannot be recovered
No warranties or liability
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of availability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, recoverability, or error-free behavior
To the maximum extent permitted by law, msg.mg and Netwall are not responsible for lost data, lost access, failed delivery, service downtime, user mistakes, third-party actions, legal consequences, damages, losses, claims, or any other consequences arising from use or inability to use the service
Prohibited use
You may not use the service to violate laws, regulations, sanctions, court orders, or rights of any person or organization in any country
Illegal content, fraud, unauthorized access, malware, abuse, harassment, threats, exploitation, evasion of lawful restrictions, and coordination of unlawful activity are prohibited
We may block, rate-limit, delete, or refuse service when we believe the service is being abused, attacked, used illegally, or used in a way that creates operational, legal, or security risk
Changes
We may update this page when product behavior or infrastructure changes. The current service behavior is defined by the live application and API contracts
